Plastic caps for self drilling screws are protective covers that snap onto the hex head of SDS roofing screws after installation. They shield the screw head from rain, UV radiation and corrosive atmospheres, prevent rust streaks on roofing sheets, seal the fastener point against water ingress, and give the roof a clean, colour-matched finish.

PVC and Nylon are the two standard materials. PVC caps are cost-effective, flexible and hold colour well — the default for roofing projects. Nylon (polyamide) caps give higher mechanical strength and heat resistance for demanding industrial environments. We manufacture both in UV-stabilized grades.

Because roof fasteners face direct sunlight for the life of the building. Non-UV-stabilized plastic goes brittle, fades and cracks within a few seasons, exposing the screw head to corrosion. UV-stabilized caps contain stabilizer additives that resist photo-degradation, so colour and grip last for years through Indian summers and monsoons.

Caps are moulded to fit the standard hex heads used on self drilling roofing screws — most commonly 8 mm (5/16") and 10 mm (3/8") across-flats — with profiles that also cover the EPDM washer. Share your screw drawing or a sample and we will confirm the correct cap.

The cap forms a physical barrier over the screw head and its EPDM washer. It keeps standing water, dust and chemicals away from the fastener point, slows washer ageing by blocking UV, and stops rust from the carbon-steel screw head streaking down the sheet. The result: a longer-lasting, leak-resistant, cleaner-looking roof.

Yes. Send the RAL code or a physical sheet sample and the polymer batch is pigment-matched before moulding. This is standard practice for colour-coated roofing brands and PUF panel skins — installed fasteners become visually invisible on the roof.
