Why the cap material matters
When buyers compare PVC and nylon SDS screw caps, they are really comparing how the cap behaves during installation, how it holds up under weather exposure and how it looks once the roof is complete. Both materials can work well in industrial roofing systems, but they solve slightly different problems.
PVC is often chosen when project teams want stable cost control, a clean finish and easy colour matching. Nylon is often chosen when a job needs more toughness, stronger handling during installation or a more robust response under repeated site use. PVC caps

Nylon caps
Nylon screw caps are usually selected when the installation environment is a little harsher or when the buyer wants a tougher material response. Nylon is commonly understood as the stronger-feeling option in everyday handling. For contractors, that can translate into confidence during installation and more resistance to rough site conditions.
