Accessories are part of the fastening system
Roofing fastener accessories are the supporting components that help a fastening system perform properly. In industrial roofing and PEB work, those accessories can include screw caps, washers, clamps and rivets. They may be small, but they influence sealing, appearance, installation pace and long-term maintenance.
When a roof is installed at scale, consistency matters. A contractor does not just need a fastener. The contractor needs a fastening setup that behaves the same way across the full project. That is why accessory selection is worth more attention than it often gets.
Common accessory types
- SDS screw caps for exposed self drilling screws
- Hillside washers for sloped profile sealing support
- Seam clamps for standing seam roofing systems
- Colour pop rivets for visible cladding finish
How to choose the right one
Start with the roof type, then look at the fastening point. If the screw head is exposed, a cap can improve the finish and weather protection. If the profile is sloped or uneven, a hillside washer can improve contact. If the roof is standing seam, a clamp may be the better mounting solution. In other words, the accessory should fit the system, not the other way around.
